This New Strawberry/Growing Moon falls halfway through the Earthwalk of Deer (Sunsign Gemini) in The Flowering time. The full Moon of this lunar cycle climaxes two days after we move into Earthwalk of Woodpecker/Cancer on 21st June in The Long Days Time. It is a time associated with love, marriage and fertility.

The month of June is informed by The Sixth Clan Mother, Storyteller, whose colour is red. She is the Teacher of Truth and Universal Wisdoms.

In the Druidic Calendar, this Moon is known as The Horse or Mead Moon ~ a time or celebration and parties!

This is the third lunar cycle of true Spring. We are still in the time of illumination, now being influenced by expansion of awareness (Fire with Air). The initial uprush of Spring energies is beginning to slow down. The seeds have been planted and germinated and are ready to take the shape of fully grown plants.

This lunar cycle welcomes in the Return of the Light with the Festival of Imbolc.

It is time to clear out anything that is lingering on from the cocooning of wintertime and to make preparation for the coming transformation. You may like to think of this as preparing the ground for the seeds of your Dreams ~ a time of planning and innovation.

The Circle will celebrate the New Snow/Quickening Moon in The Cleansing Time of Earthwalk Otter (Aquarius), which then moves into The Blustery Winds Time of Wolf (Pisces) with Full Moon on 24th February.

On 20th January we moved out of the regenerative time of The Renewal Time into the Quickening energies of The Cleaning Time following the very first stirrings of new beginnings. We will be reflecting on the challenges, learnings and gifts offered by this time of this year.

February is informed by The Second Clan Mother, Wisdom Keeper. Her colour is non threatening grey and she is The Keeper of “honouring the Truth” and The Mother of Friendship.

This New Moon Ceremony will be supported by Rowan, the Sacred Druidic Plant of February. Rowan is associated with Luis (L) in the Ogham Tree Alphabet. Key words are magic, inspiration, quickening and protection.

Rowan supports our intuition and visions, enouraging us to be tenacious in our new endeavours.

The Circle will celebrate the New Wolf/Quiet Moon in The Renewal Time of Earthwalk Goose (Capricorn). This Moon is sometimes called The Wolf Moon. The Medicine of Wolf is that of Pathfinder, the one who leads the way forward for others.

On 22nd December we will be moving out of the the deeply introspective time of The Long Nights Time into the purity of The Renewal Time and the very first stirrings of new beginnings. We will be reflecting on the challenges, learnings and gifts offered by this time of this year.

Sometimes also called The Singing Moon, this is the Grandmother Moon under which you remember to play and to trust in innocence despite the serious “stuff” of life ~ and to harvest the potentialities within as well as celebrating your achievements without.

This Moon signifies a wealthy and bountiful harvest, falling close to the Autumn Equinox and the Celtic Festival of Mabon on 23rd September, which is symbolised by the cornucopia or Horn of Plenty.

The Gathering in is not simply of external bounty, but a recognition of the growth of the self ~ of all you have worked on so far this year, realising your own fruitful potential.

The Circle will celebrate this New Moon in the fullness of maturing Harvesting Time of Brown Bear/Virgo just before it turns into the introspective energies of The Falling Time of Crow/Libra.

September’s Full Moon has traditionally been called The Harvest Moon simply because this is the time of year to bring in the harvest of good things grown throughout the year. There is still hard work to do, but in a spirit of celebration of all that has been personally achieved to sustain us throughout the coming months when autumn turns to winter once more.

We have now moved out of the fiery energetic creative Ripening Time. The emphasis of The Harvesting Time is on a combination of earth/water energies. It invites trust in one’s feelings in a manner that leads to non-attachment and the simplicity of innocence. This takes us beyond the harvesting of the fruits of practical endeavour. It is a time of expanding awareness of the development of intuitive and spiritual energies beyond the physical, relating to feelings and emotions ~ remembering the healing power of returning to the playfulness of the child within. Falling Leaves time then takes us forward into the earth/air energies of consolidation and introspection, combined with the qualities of stimulation and refreshment found in new ideas.

Living The Truth

Setting Sun Woman, The Clan Mother of September, is The Keeper of Tomorrow’s Goals and Dreams, connected to the colour green.  This Pink/Egg New Moon falls on the day of the new Earthwalk of Hawk/Aries. The full cycle of this Moon lasts all the way through until the New Flower Moon of Beaver/Taurus on 20th April.

Remember, every breath is a moment in time connecting you to what has gone before, to what is now and to what will be. Every breath is new. Every breath contains potential, the power of transformation. Every breath is change made manifest and yet creates continuum. Between each breath is a resting space of tranquillity. This is life. This is presence. This is creation. This is rebirth in action. This is unity and you are part of this unity.

Discovering a place of tranquillity within us is itself a treasure which can alter the nature of our own presence in the world. When we become present, we create space around us, we exist in eternal space. This is the first Meditation in the series of Tranquillity Meditations.

Each Recipient has their own dedicated Rose Quartz Heart (the Crystal of loving mother energy and gentle emotional release), through whom the New Moon Healing is delivered. The “team” now consists of 13, one for each of the 13 lunar cycles, so 13 corresponding places are being offered.

 This Wolf/Spirit New Moon falls just two days after the celebration of The Winter Solstice, “cosmic” gateway at the dying of the year, taking us into the initiation time of spiritual rebirth.

 Nature at this time of year helps us to understand the necessity to come to rest, to truly pause in quietness so clarity around your sense of direction may be gained when the time comes to move once again in the New Year. Close to the Solstice, this time of year is a gateway into the initiation time of spiritual rebirth.

The Circle will celebrate the both New and Full Moon almost the whole of the lunar month in the time of Owl/Saggitarius, before moving into Goose/Capricorn on 22nd December.

December’s Moon is traditionally called The Cold/Oak/Quiet/Long Nights Moon as this is the closest Full Moon to the Winter Solstice and the darkest month of the longest nights and shortest days.

In a few weeks’ time we will be moving out of the regenerative time of The Frost/Beaver Time into the deeply introspective time of The Long Nights Time.

This will be the time to come to stillness and to enter into the spirit of thanksgiving.

“The world around you is your mirror – as within, so without….”

 What draws your attention most closely in the world outside you right now? It will be deeply connected to that within you and how you feel.

Nature at this time of year helps us to understand the principle of transformation, adaptability and regeneration.

Frost is a reminder of the death which the coming winter represents ~ yet, just as frost warms to water and flow, so life will return in the regeneration of springtime.

The Circle will celebrate both New and Full Moon phases in the time of Snake/Scorpio.

November’s Moon is traditionally called the Beaver or Frost Moon.

In two weeks’ time we will be moving out of the contemplative time of The Falling Leaves Time into the mysterious, twilight zone of The Frost Time, which holds the Ceremony of Samhain, the time when the veils are thinnest between the worlds ~ the time to remember and celebrate the lives of those who have passed before us. The emphasis of The Frost Time is on the preparing to shed what is no longer needed, to exercise adaptability so you can continue your personal growth when the time is right to regenerate.

This will be the time to recognise the impulses which have been hidden within, and support emotional endurance.

We have now moved out of the harvesting, harmonious energies of The Harvesting Time into the more contemplative nature of Crow/Libra. The emphasis of The Falling Leaves Time is on the growth to maturity and seeing the harmony that exists within the whole.

TRANSFORMATION TRANQUILLITY HEALING JOURNEY MEDITATION:

The transformation at this time of year is into Autumn, the time of review and letting go before rest. This is a Meditation which encourages you to gently release any disappointment or loss ~ of anything dear to your heart which has not quite gone to plan or materialised this year. Recognise that within this challenge is still a gaining in wisdom.

The Clan Mother of the Tenth Moon Cycle of October is Weaves The Web, and is connected to the colour pink. She is the Mother of both The Creative and Destructive Principles. Pink is the colour of the Creative Feminine Force, and she is the Keeper of Life Force, showing us how to tap the life force to grow beyond any stagnation. September’s Full Moon has traditionally been called The Harvest Moon simply because this is the time of year to bring in the harvest of good things grown throughout the year. Still hard work to do, but in a spirit of celebration of all that has been personally achieved to sustain us throughout the coming months when autumn turns to winter once more.

We have now moved out of the fiery energetic creative Ripening Time into the trusting, harmonious period of The Harvesting Time. The emphasis of The Harvesting Time is a combination of earth/water energies, inviting trust in one’s feelings in a manner that leads to non-attachment and the simplicity of innocence. This takes us beyond the harvesting of the fruits of practical endeavour. It is a time of expanding awareness of the development of intuitive and spiritual energies beyond the physical, relating to feelings and emotions ~ remembering the healing power of returning to the playfulness of the child within.

August’s full Moon was traditionally called the Sturgeon Moon because the giant sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this part of summer, harbinger of a time of abundance. Sturgeon is also known as “the stirrer”, so take a look at what may be stirring in the depths!

We have now moved out of the flowing, feeling, harmonising qualities of the watery Long Days Time into the energetic creative Ripening Time of Salmon/Leo. The emphasis of The Ripening Time is on the need to trust one’s feelings and intuitions during the pain of change which may be experienced during the process of maturing. On a positive note, this also heralds a time ideally to take a rest, bask in the lazier sunny days before preparing for the work of harvesting in September.

The New Buck Moon (also known as the Berry Moon and the Salmon Moon) ushers in a period of gentleness, fruitfulness and the wisdom of learned experience.

We are now in the full verdant green of Nature, before it begins to slow its pace and as it grows into the maturity leading to fruitfulness. The days are at their longest, the nights at their shortest. It is at truly a joy to be out of doors experiencing the natural world in all her beauty.

Watery Woodpecker/Cancer people grow through experience into wisdom, and have the ability to see things in their “true light”, and to flow in trust and innocence. At their most mature, they have a purity of vision and are non-attached to selfish considerations, with the ability to perceive the unity of the whole, rather than the differences. They do so by relying on their feelings, rather than on their intellect.

This transitioning year of clearing old patterns seems to be bringing extra challenges to some, even as life flows through these warmer summery days. Sometimes this may not feel very gentle… Remember that challenges offer us the opportunity to make deep and positive change, and the value of trust and playfulness assist to counterbalance the seriousness of life… For this reason I have chosen a different kind of Meditation to take us on our journey to tranquillity and release.

WILLOW OF GRACE GUIDED MEDITATION

This is a gentle yet powerful journey into the grace of letting go, clearing space and then reweaving supported by the loving guidance of the Medicine of Willow. This was one of my first meditations, written under the beautiful canopy of the Willow in the image ~ a meditation written very much from my heart as I sought to make sense of my life.

Throughout June we move under the influence of Storyteller, the Sixth Clan Mother, who teaches us to have faith, be humble and to stay young at heart by keeping our innocence intact. Storyteller “speaks the truth” encouraging us to speak our truth from our hearts, so we can truly change the patterns which have “locked up” our lives. Storyteller also reminds us of the power of laughter and humour to keep all in perspective.

The New Rose Strawberry Moon welcomes a gentle sweetness back into life, as strawberries ripen and roses unfold their soft petals… This Moon is sometimes known as the Lovers’ Moon...

As May crosses into June, the Circle will celebrate this Moon in the airy and expansive energies of The Flowering Time of Deer/Gemini. These bring a cooling, calming relief to any tumultuous feelings generated during The Growing Time of earthy Beaver/Taurus.

The Strawberry Rose Moon grows to fullness in The Flowering time this year, and it is not until late June that we transition into The Long Time of Woodpecker/Cancer. This welcomes in the first of the three Moon cycles of summer, beginning at the Summer Solstice. Nature begins to slow its pace and grow into the maturity leading to fruitfulness. The days are at their longest, the nights at their shortest. It is at last a joy to be out of doors experiencing the natural world in all her beauty after the long cold spring.

TRANQUILLITY STILLNESS MEDITATION (MOON BREATH)
