MY MANDALA STORY

In August 2020, I was honoured to take part in the Fifth Beyond Harmony Ceremonial Healing Circle. The Nine Beyond Harmony Healing Circles were created to send healing to the beautiful Earth who sustains us, and to support all those affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic which began in that year. Two days before the Fifth Ceremony, the very first Mandala channelled through via me.

Immediately following the Ceremony, my Serenity Mandala (featured above) began to take form.

Mandalas have continue to form in this world, finding their way through me onto the page, now numbering more than 60! I begin with just one pencil mark. Sometimes the Mandala simply flows on the page, sometimes I begin and begin again, until the lines flow and form themselves into pleasing patterns. The more I keep my ego out of the way, the easier they form. If I try, or if I “think” I know what they signify, or how they might turn out, then the flow ceases. If I “try” consciously to create a certain pattern, then invariably the Mandala fails to form.

Before this time, I have never considered myself to be an “artist”, although I have always loved colour and creativity whether through fabric, pottery or stained glass.

I find the process absorbing, meditational and calming ~ and I love the outcomes.

The original created Mandalas are sometimes “templated” by my son, before returning to me. Sometimes, they take on their colours immediately. Sometimes, the colour is trial and error. I love the bright, beautiful hues of the watercolour pencils I usually work with. The completed version is then scanned and my son and I work together to give each Mandala its final “polish”, retaining the hand drawn and coloured integrity of each one.

I hope you enjoy looking through the images below ~ more coming soon!

Owning Your Own Mandala

It seems that many of these Mandalas are intended to go out into the world to bring joy and a sense of peace, so if you would like to own one (or more!), you can…

Currently, they are available to order either on canvas or as prints to download. Once printed onto canvas, each Mandala is hand finished by me with touches of silver or gold before being gift wrapped together with it’s matching gift card and sent to you.
